Funnel Scripts Issue #1: A few scripts are light on content
The beauty of Funnel Scripts is being able to provide the platform with basic information and having it whip up some high-converting copy in no time.
For the most part, Funnel Scripts lives up to that concept.
Some of the results it spits out, however, fail to add much to the information the user provides, meaning you essentially write the the bulk of the content.
The user inputs are always bolded, so the following screenshot highlights my point perfectly:
In this instance, the headline, bullets and even most of the opt-in text have all been provided by the user.
Thankfully, this isn’t a common theme within Funnel Scripts.
Funnel Scripts Issue #2: It’s somewhat expensive
The Funnel Scripts pricing is by far cheaper than hiring a full-time copywriter for the year which makes it easy to justify the one-time investment. For the first time ever, Russell and Jim are offering UNLIMITED access to Funnel Scripts.
As two entrepreneurs that only ever offered monthly and yearly subscriptions for their products and services, this is unheard of!

The Funnel Scripts Onboarding Process
Let’s dive into the user interface of Funnel Scripts and check out how it works.
The first thing you’ll see when logging into Funnel Scripts is the main dashboard. Be warned, there’s a lot to take in at first sight.
Right off the batt, I sense they’ve crammed a lot onto the main dashboard.
To give you an example, the sidebar appears to contain each individual script and spans the entire length of the page. I even had to make a GIF to show you what I mean…
I’m not saying it isn’t a comprehensive copywriting tool, I just would have preferred a more minimalistic user interface. . .
To their credit though, there is a “How I do use this?” section at the very top that walks you through a simple 4-step process to getting started.
As Funnel Scripts suggests, a good place to begin is the quickstart video which provides a quick walkthrough of the Funnel Scripts platform and it’s capabilities.
I typically skip over these but I found the video helpful in this case.
Despite the cluttered user interface, it didn’t take me long to get a grasp of what is essentially a very simple - yet powerful - tool.
Part #9: How Does Funnel Scripts Work
Generating Scripts
So by now, you should know how Funnel Scripts is supposed to work . . .
But how does it actually work?
From within the Funnel Scripts dashboard, clicking into any of the above-mentioned scripts will take you to the specific page designated for that script.
At the top, you’ll find a video explaining the corresponding script.
This is a great aspect of Funnel Scripts that might be easy to overlook.
While you don’t need to understand how a script works in order to use it, knowing the basics enables you to provide better inputs for Funnel Scripts which will likely result in an overall better performing output.
Below the video is a set of directions on how to generate your script. This will be the same regardless of which script you select.
Further down you’ll see the input fields which will be utilized to generate your custom script and above it, an option to load examples. Sometimes you’ll only see a few example projects, other times you’ll have more.
For this particular script, there was only one example project available:
The input fields give you some direction as to what should be entered and even includes some text below for an elaborated explanation.
Despite that, the team behind Funnel Scripts recommends using the example feature to get a better idea of how they should be filled out.
Some scripts will have multiple examples, but in this case, I had only one to choose from.
Step 1: Fill out the user input fields:
Not only does this help you gain a better understanding of how the script is stitched together, but you can even use these suggestions verbatim or tweak them as you see fit.
Of course, doing so would eliminate the overall purpose of this platform as you’ll essentially be using a word-for-word template.
Once you’re happy with your inputs, all you need to do is click the blue button to generate the script. In this case, Funnel Scripts generated multiple variations to choose from.
Step 2: Hit “Build” and choose the format that best suits you:
The bolded sections are taken from the information the user entered and everything else is essentially part of a static template.
Step 3: Make minor tweaks or changes to personalize further. Done!
Hot, Warm , and Cold Leads
When it comes to actually using Funnel Scripts properly, it’s important to utilize the copy that corresponds with where your audience is in their customer journey (product awareness).
If you serve cold leads with copy that’s meant for hot leads, it’s going to go through one ear and out the other.
That’s why Funnel Scripts organizes their headline results for HOT, WARM, and COLD leads:
Adding Scripts and Headlines to the Clips Bin
Click the Shopping Cart icon to save the scripts and headlines you like best…
The cart icon can be found at the end of each version, and clicking it will save it to your ‘Clip Bin’.
…and they’ll be added to the Clips Bin:

The problem is that it’s hard to put together a Master Class…or at least it was before Funnel Scripts came along.
Podcast and Facebook Live Wizard
The Interview Wizard simplifies your interview script by making it as easy as answering 16 simple questions.
In this case, I decided to try out the Perfect Webinar Wizard. Let’s face it, writing killer webinar scripts is neither quick or easy.
Before downloading Dumbledore . . . I mean . . . the wizard, you’ll be prompted to watch another video explaining how it works.
After the explanation video, it will have you download the wizard to your computer.
This will work for both Windows and Mac, but you can also just download a PDF version of the questions if you’d like to skip the wizardry.
Once installed, you’ll be prompted to enter your Funnel Scripts login details to gain access to the software.
With that out of the way, the wizard will get straight to work by asking you a series of questions. In this case, I had to answer 78 questions.
Completing all of the questions could take several days, but you’re not totally alone.
As you go through each question, the wizard will give you a fair amount of help with your answers, including comprehensive examples.
However, I did experience a few hiccups in the process.
Firstly, there isn’t a way to skip questions and have those sections omitted from the script if they don’t apply.
Secondly, navigating to previous questions is a nightmare as you have to click the ‘Previous’ button for however many questions you wish to go back.
A drop down menu to jump directly to questions would have been betterr.
That aside, when you reach the end of the questions you’ll be able to build your script, and the wizard gives you several different options.
You have the ability to export in plain text format or a Word (.docx) or as a PowerPoint file as well.
You’ll also notice that different scripts can be made based on the user inputs, including the ability to export your answers from the initial Q&A.
Overall, these ‘Wizards’ are an excellent addition and helpful feature I’d like to see added inside the Funnel Scripts web based app itself.
